From Compass’ National March Report we can see that the housing market in February 2026 showed little year-over-year change in home prices or overall sales, while listing inventory increased modestly and homes took slightly longer to sell. Some competitive indicators softened, with fewer homes selling over list price and fewer buyers waiving inspection contingencies, while appraisal delays and contract terminations rose slightly.
