Jason Mitchell brings over 20 years of experience in architecture, construction, and academia to his work in real estate, focusing on clear communication and thoughtful service in every transaction. His background in design and construction informs his approach, helping clients navigate the complexities of buying and selling homes.
Before starting the Jason Mitchell Group at Compass, Jason led design projects in the Bay Area and internationally, working with a range of clients, from tech companies to residential homeowners. A licensed architect and co-founder of an award-winning design-build firm, he has a passion for sustainable building and alternative construction methods.

His knowledge of home remodels, investment properties, and construction management adds value to the client experience.
When not working, Jason enjoys cycling in the Bay Area and exploring new real estate opportunities, continually expanding his local market insight.
Mission Statement: My focus is on providing a smooth and transparent process for my clients. Success for me is defined by the positive experiences of those I work with.
Michelle Heafey, Agent
DRE# 02065623
Michelle Heafey is a Bay Area native with a professional background spanning sales, healthcare, and community service. Her experience in online advertising, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, nearly a decade as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) — along with eight years in the U.S. Navy Reserves as a Navy Corpsman — shapes her calm, detail-oriented approach to real estate.
Michelle purchased her first home as a young professional and later transitioned into a family home with her husband and two sons. She has also helped family members downsize, giving her a personal understanding of how housing needs shift across different seasons of life. These experiences inform her perspective on finding the right fit at each stage and guide the clear communication, design insight, and thoughtful support she offers her clients throughout the buying and selling process.
As an active member in the Piedmont community, Michelle served as a Spring Fling co-chair in 2017 and has spent years volunteering in local schools and supporting community events. She remains closely involved through school programs, sports, and neighborhood activities.
Outside of real estate, Michelle enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time outdoors with her family.
